Medical: Estate of John Doe v. Hospital

Medical Malpractice: The patient underwent a successful cardiac catherization to treat chest pain from clogged arteries. Unfortunately, the nurses failed to attend to the patient’s complaints of chest pain, nausea, and vomiting in the recovery room and then on the floor until it was too late.  The patient died 18 days later after slipping into a coma because the arteries re-clogged causing serious heart damage.  The case was settled during the pre-suit period pursuant to Florida’s arbitration cap.
