Marc earned his Bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University, and his law degree from Nova University School of Law.  Since his admission to the Florida Bar in 1992, he has specialized in professional liability, personal injury and general liability. Prior to entering private practice, he was a Corporate Risk Manager/Attorney for EMSA Limited Partnership, a company that provided health care professional staffing services to various health care facilities nationwide.

Marc’s experience makes him uniquely qualified to understand the complexities of medical malpractice and general liability matters.  While Marc has handled medical malpractice matters involving all specialties, Marc has developed specific expertise in Emergency Medicine, Ophthalmology, and Otolaryngology (ENT). He is also a sought after expert in the Emergency Medicine Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) and Florida Access To Emergency Care Law. He has lectured on the topics both in Florida and nationally.

He previously was a Certified Health Care Risk Manager in the State of Florida. He is a member of the Health and Administrative Law sections of The Florida Bar; the Miami-Dade County Bar Association; the Broward County Bar Association; the U.S. District Court of Appeals; and the United States Supreme Court. He has previously served on the Eleventh Circuit Fee Arbitration Committee of The Florida Bar. He has also served on the Board of Directors of The Emergency Medicine Patient Safety Foundation, an organization that was dedicated to making emergency departments safer.

Marc was selected one of 2013 Top Rated Lawyers in Health Care by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell. Marc has been selected by Super Lawyers Magazine Florida Editions as one of the Super Lawyers since 2014. He also received a Lifetime Achievement Award from America’s Top 100 Attorneys. Marc was also designed “AV Preeminent” in 2013 – 2019 from Martindale-Hubbell. Marc has been a member of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) since 2010.
